A Black Country hospital is celebrating after Wolves presented staff with a £100,000 cheque to help out its maternity department. Wolves players Wily Boly and Alfred N’Diaye made a special trip to New Cross Hospital in Wolverhampton to hand over the cash.
The donation was made on the behalf of the Football Club through money raised from the Goalden Gate Superdraw. Leanne Bood, fundraising coordinator for Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust Charity, said: “We are incredibly grateful for all the help and support from Goalden Gate Superdraw and the local community. The support from the football club over the years has been invaluable and it is amazing to hit the £100,000 milestone.”
