Big week for Wolves Academy graduates

Thursday night was a big night for Premier League side Wolves as they managed a 4-0 victory against Armenian side FC Pyunik in the Europa League which will be etched in the memory of two Wolves Academy graduates in particular.

Firstly, due to changes made to the squad, Maximilian Kilman was handed his first start for the senior side after being a regular in the defence of the under-23s’ 2018/19 title-winning campaign. Meanwhile, getting Wolves’ second goal of the night against the team from Armenia, Morgan Gibbs-White scored his first senior competitive goal for the club he joined as an eight-year-old. The midfielder has spent the last 11 years of his young life growing up in the Academy, progressing through all the age groups to make his senior bow in 2017. The Stafford-born graduate netted for the senior side during the Asia Trophy pre-season tour of China, but his Pyunik goal got him off the mark in competitive football.

The Goalden Gate Superdraw has supported Wolves FC for many years now and has raised over £5.5m towards the Youth Academy. Everyone involved at MSA Ltd is very proud to see these young taking the next steps in their career paths.
