MSA Ltd have been busy during the lockdown period to begin working with new charities, organisations and sporting clubs – this has led us to begin working with the recently re-branded Yeovil Town Women FC who will be one of the favourites to win the Women’s National League South when the season restarts.
The money raised through the Goalden Gate Superdraw will go a long way to helping the already successful academy programme ran by the club. YTWFC’s Dual Career Academy runs in partnership with principal education provider Bridgwater & Taunton College (BTC) and University Centre Somerset (UCS. It was established in 2018 and is geared towards balancing a young player’s football development with their educational aspirations.
This is a full-time programme of football, medical, strength & conditioning, well being & performance education that all runs in conjunction with a player’s studies all between the hours of 9am and 5pm Monday – Friday. This allows for the student-players to gain valuable senior football experience either with YTWFC First Team or through loan opportunities.
As the programme is about education as much as the football a player can choose to study any course delivered that is by BTC/UCS, including apprenticeships. The club is held accountable not only by the football development but measured on the success of the student and the personal development in their given course and whether they stay in football in the years after their involvement in the academy.
The Yeovil Town Womens FC Development team play in the FA WSL Development League season competing with the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal, Millwall Lionesses and Watford and have tasted moderate success over the last few seasons!
MSA Ltd welcomes Yeovil Town WFC to the Goalden Gate Superdraw and look forward to hopefully bringing in an added revenue to the good causes of the club!
