Wolves FC received a thank you last month from representatives of The Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge acknowledging the donation the club gave towards the ‘Head’s Up’ campaign. Through the Wolves’ Goalden Gate Superdraw the club managed to raise an incredible £675 at the home match against Man Utd – you may remember that on the weekend of this match, the campaign saw ‘Heads Up’ partner with Public Health England’s Every Mind Matters on the ‘Take a Minute’ activation where every game in the third round of the FA Cup was delayed by a minute.
Lucy Jackson, Corporate Development Manager at Royal Foundation, stated “Your kind donation will contribute towards the efforts of the ‘Heads Up’ charity partners and will provide much needed support to those people who need it most. Thank you very much again for choosing to support the ‘Heads Up’ campaign and for continuing to help us change the conversation .”
It is important that throughout the current ongoing situation that and coming months, it is vital that mental health remains part of the conversation, for both fans and players alike.
