Getting to know : Age Concern Birmingham

For the last 5 years now MSA Ltd has worked hard to grow an extra revenue stream for Age Concern Birmingham through the Goalden Gate Superdraw. In this time we have managed to sign up over 1,000 new members and donated over £55,000 to the good causes of Age Concern Birmingham.

Through the services they offer, such as the befriending telephone service, Age Concern Birmingham aim to enrich the lives of older people in and around Birmingham. The great work they do in the community and the comprehensive list of services they offer, led by Becky Bews and her amazingly skilled staff, make a real positive difference. MSA Ltd are so proud to work alongside a charity that does so much to help add value to the lives of older people by offering these fantastic services which help promote wellbeing and independence.

Age Concern Birmingham are based on Boldmere High Street and that is where you can find their Communitea Cafe – I personally recommend the bacon rolls!

During lockdown, Age Concern Birmingham set up a COVID-19 support line which has been inundated with a range of issues facing people at this unprecedented time, and to be able to offer those struggling with loss was a nice way of helping and supporting people at a time when they need it the most.

Everyone at MSA Ltd looks forward to working continuously with Age Concern Birmingham to help them fund the great services they offer to the public.
